Hello,
I just found this new patch but unsure about some things. Do the default
configs give me everything like extra vehicles, more vehicles and such or do
I need to modify them. How do I get all of the new graphics I need. Anyone
have some good sample configs I could put in place. Thanks.

To get more graphics, go to http://ttdpatch.net and click on "new
graphics". For a lot of these, you will need the alpha versions of the
patch rather than the last full release.

In terms of what defaults are turned on - the easiest way is to have a
look. Either choose "show options" when you start TTD, or have a look
at the ttdpatch.cfg file and see what's turned on.

If you are running the Windows version of the game, you can download a
program that presents all the Patch options in a nice tick-box
interface, and alerts you when updates are available.

I believe that program works for the DOS version too, although it itself
runs in Windows.

The program in question is "TTDX Configurator" available here:

I'm using the windows version... For some reason after I used the ttdx
config and put the settings to I beleive it's called recommended, when
trying to start the game it was saying the CD wasn't in the drive, where as
before it was doing fine. It's true there is no CD in the drive, I did
download it off the internet as the version I owned is locked away in some
box somewhere as I haven't played it since college. Anyways I just deleted
the cfg file and the ovl... loaded the game and all was well. Seems like
though if I attempt to modify the settings too much the game will not load
anymore, it's either the CD error or the game errors out with a send error
report message..
Sure this is old stuff and I sure is discussed in here somewhere I will look
to see what I may be doing wrong....
Thanks for the great work on the enhancments...

Even though it's still in it's testing phase, I would recommend Oskar's
TTDPatchAutoInstaller, it works fine for me. Download it from
http://www.ttdpatch.net/install/TTDPatchAutoInstall.exe and when you run
it, it'll download the latest patch, generate a cfg file and download
essential graphics sets!
