I believe Joseph has already said on the TTForums (http://tt-forums.net)
that the license with Locomotion (unlike the TTD license) specifically
prohibits reverse-engineering of the code, and that he won't argue with
Chris Sawyer over it.

So, for the time being, no Locomotion patch in the future I think. However,
depending on how well the game sells (and from what I've heard it has sold
well so far), we may get expansion packs with extra stuff. I'm particularly
hoping for an expansion pack to give us the monorails and maglevs back :D

I think they have deliberately left out some items in order to push an
expansion pack/deluxe edition later.

After the demo I will pass for now and see what happens.

Dont! There's still a lot you can do! Even if you don't want to play the
scenarios, you can make your own from scratch.

After reading the Locomotion forums at
http://www.tt-forums.net/index.php?c=21 there seem to be so many silly
niggles and things that TTD did left out.

I hope it sells well and for the add-on they get in a new graphics person
and produce some nice looking 32bit graphics!

A larger scale for big resolution monitors would be good, but mainly using
32bit colours. Combined, they would give a much more modern feel to the
graphics.

Just my thoughts, but lots of people mention the graphics before getting
into the gameplay. To sell to those outside of it's core target, it is the
single area needing improvement.

Why should he? His current TTDPatch is superior (imo) to Locomotion.
